Welcome!

Hello there!

My name is Adrienne and I am currently a senior here at SU majoring in fashion design with a double minor in EEE and textiles. This semester I will be working on my senior collection which will be shown at the end of April.

I'm originally from Walnut Creek, CA, a far ways away - I know. I've often been asked why I left sunny California for upstate New York and my answer has always been because SU gave me the best of both worlds - art school in a university setting. It has been a great experience going to a school where I'am allowed to do what I enjoy as well as dabble in other fields that interest me, or support my major. In addition to the academics, SU has provided me with various opportunities to get involved through student organizations, volunteer work, and by attending events (i.e. Block Party, Juice Jam, Danceworks) set up by other students/student organizations. Sporting events have also been a major part of my experience here, especially in the spring.

Throughout the semester I will be posting blogs about what I'm up to, letting you know what's going on in the fashion design department, as well as letting you know what is happening on campus so you can see what it is like to be a VPA student at SU. If I happen to post anything you want to know more about, feel free to ask.
